Excitment and anticipation

The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me;
your love, O LORD, endures forever-
do not abandon the works of your hands.

Psalm 138:8

This verse was brought to my attention by a dear friend of mine last night. I have been meditating on it throughout the day. I find comfort in what the Psalmist says about the Lord fulfilling his purpose for each of our lives.

I know that as I begin to prepare to head back to Kenya I am so excited! I am anticipating much from God. This time around I will be teaching English to some women, from the sewing school, and men from the mechanic school. I will be teaching at the Kenya Evangelical Bible College, located in Kangundo, Kenya. You can find out more about the college here: http://www.kenyaevangelicalmission.com/

I will be staying with some dear cousins of mine: Hoyt and Lois Osborne (click on the link above to find out more about them). I love them dearly. They have sacrificed their lives for the Kingdom and open their home, with love and open arms, to everyone they meet.

To say it simply, I basically want to be them someday. But I know that I must continue and pray to see what God's will is for my life. Whether that means staying in Grant Park, and teaching at Unity or abandoning it all and serving God fearlessly in Kangundo. This has been on my heart ever since high school, and it is a God-given desire that I simply cannot ignore.

I leave for Kangundo with my dear friend, Kristin, on Friday June 4,2010! I can't believe it's so close! I hopefully will, depending on electricity, will be updating my blog on a weekly basis while I am in Kenya.

May you be blessed by our almighty Father, the Maker of heaven and earth.
